Thermofiber 3062
Developed for industrial applications, Thermofiber 3062 is a rigid, molded friction material. The most noted properties of this material are its hardness and mechanical strength. The material is comprised of phenolic resins with NBR bonding system, short fibers, friction modifiers, metallic particles and fillers. It is a fully cured material and is suitable for both bonding and riveting.
APPLICATIONS Industrial Clutches, Calipers for Industrial Applications, Ring Segments for Machinery, Heavy-Duty Industrial Machinery, Forging Machinery, Electro-Magnetic Brakes, and Torque Limiters
BONDING The use of any well-known thermosetting adhesive is recommended.
MATING SURFACE Good quality, fine grained pearlitic cast iron with Brinell hardness of 150-200 is recommended.
